New documentary on late musician Sinéad O'Connor airs on RTÉ tonight

A new documentary on the late Sinéad O'Connor is due to air on RTÉ One tonight (December 8).

'Sinéad' showcases the singer's influence on Ireland and Irish life throughout her long, extraordinary career.

With contributions from David Holmes, Christy Moore, Imelda May, Don Letts, BP Fallon and many more, the documentary reveals a wealth of unique archive footage both from RTÉ and international sources.

It features an Ireland the singer both fought against and strove for, from the arrival of Pope John Paul to Charles Haughey and Gay Byrne, and to the struggle for Irish women's right to travel.

You can watch the documentary tonight at 9.35pm.
