Tributes pour in for Tipperary auctioneer who 'helped everyone over his lifetime'

Tributes have been flooding in for Nenagh auctioneer Billy Talbot who has been described as a man "who helped everyone over his lifetime."

Billy passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family in the tender care of the Matron and staff at Nenagh Manor Nursing Home on Oct 1 2024.

Since his passing, heartfelt tributes have been pouring for Billy calling him "a true gentleman", "a great friend" and "a lovely person."

"We had many interactions with him over the years....all positive. Always a pleasure to meet him." wrote one person.

"My deepest sympathy to all the Talbot family on the passing of Billy, the last of my old friends in Nenagh. May he rest in Peace." said another.

Billy is predeceased by his beloved wife Breeda, daughter Marie, sister Tutsie and brother Tom. Will be sadly missed by his loving family Oonagh, Frank, Jean and William. Cherished grandchildren Billy, Rory, Adam, Sophie, Lauren, Paul, Charlie and Jenny. Brothers Matt and John. Son in law Adam, daughters-in-law Svjetlana and Lorraine. Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-aw, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

He will be reposing at Ryan's Funeral Home, Nenagh (E45 KN93) this Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. His remains will arrive at St. Marys of the Rosary Church Nenagh on Friday for Requiem Mass at 12 Noon. 

The family has asked that donations, if desired, be made in lieu of flowers to Nenagh Lions Club.
