Anthony (Bobsy) Sweeney Fairfields, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary suddenly on Thursday 2nd January 2025 at Tipperary University Hospital

. (Predeceased by his daughter Tracy, sons, Ano, and Dan)

Sadly miss by his loving children Sharon, Paul, Christopher, Kevin, Lilly and their mother Sandra, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at No. 58 Fairfields on Monday (6th January) from 5pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in the Church of the Resurrection followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery

(née Kelly)

Peacefully in her 89th year on Thursday 2nd January 2025

Clonbrusk, Ballymahon Road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath

& formerly of Bansha, Co. Tipperary

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband John (Jack) and daughter Caitriona, grandson Conor and her brother Tom. Sadly missed by her loving family Pat, Marie, Enda and Roseanne, daughters-in-law Katrina and Antoinette, her adoring grandchildren John, Leah, Jessica, Mark and Mia, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, Athlone on Saturday from 4pm until 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan followed by burial in Coosan Cemetery.

Downey, Sr. Betty (Convent of Mercy, Greenhill, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary (late of Windgap, Co. Kilkenny) January 2nd 2025, peacefully in University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her parents Ellen and Michael, her brothers Richie, Willie and John, and her sister-in-law Liz. Sadly missed by her sister Sadie, brother Tommy, sisters-in law Mary, Joan, and Carmel, brother-in-law Maurice, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Mercy Sisters and extended family and friends.

Reposing in the Convent chapel on Sunday 5th from 3.00 pm with Evening Prayer at 5.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 10.30am in St Nicholas Church, Carrick on Suir followed by burial in St Marys Cemetery, Carrickbeg.

Abie Lawlor

We are so sad to share with you the passing of our borrowed angel Abie Lawlor, Glenconnor Court and formerly Ballingeary East, Poulmucka, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

 

Abie, aged 20 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday. She is pre-deceased by her grandparents John and Yvonne Fennessy and Nanny Brigid Long. She will be sadly missed by her grandparents Martin and Irene Long, partner Andy, sisters Ellenora, Bridget and Amera, brothers Kashan and Jack, her mother Rosie, father Glen and her adored nieces Freya, Maisey and Lilly.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Sunday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Monday to Shannon Crematorium for cremation at 12.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Temple Street Hospital, Dublin.

Francis (Franz) Molloy

Francis (Franz) Molloy – Ballinea, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Holycross, Co Tipperary – passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2025 surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital and previously at Newbrook Nursing Home Mullingar. Beloved husband of Katrina, much loved father to son Peter and daughters Clara and Rosanne, dear father-in-law to Charlotte, loving and adored Grand Pa to Alexander and Ivan. Deeply regretted by his brothers Anthony and Joseph, sister Christelle, sisters-in-law Veronica, Josephine, Pamela and Miriam (predeceased by his sister Mary), extended family and many friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday January 6th from 4.30 pm to 6 pm with Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 7th at 11 am followed by burial in Walshestown Cemetery. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie. Nuala Stannard, (née O’Neill), Tannersrath, Rathronan, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Skeaugh, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

 

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in St. Anthony’s Unit, Clonmel on Thursday, 2nd January 2025.

 

Predeceased by her parents, her brothers Michael and Larry and her sisters Margaret and Lily.

 

Deeply regretted and sadly by her sorrowing family, her husband Roy, daughter Avril, sons Robin and Mark, grandaughter Leah, sister-in-law Evelyn, nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443) on Saturday, 4th January from 5pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm.

 

Funeral Prayers on Sunday, 5th January at 1.15pm followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.
