Sr. Philomena Browne, Brigidine Convent, Tullow, Co. Carlow, 11th February, 2025, in the loving care of the staff at Barrow Ward, St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny and her Brigidine Sisters. Pre-deceased by her parents Catherine and Patrick, sister Mary, brothers Vincent, Seamus and Charley. Deeply regretted by her sisters Annette and Carmel, brother Frank, sister-in-law Helen, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, friends and her Brigidine Community.

 

Requiescat in pace

 

Reposing in Brigidine Convent, Tullow on Wednesday 12th February from 3.30pm until 6.30pm. Removal will take place on Thursday at 8.30am to St. Fintan's Church, Mountrath, Co. Laois to arrive for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial will take place in adjoining Brigidine Convent Cemetery.

Formerly Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Beloved husband of Penny. Father of Brendan, Francis, Niamh, Peadar, Paul and Aisling. Brother of Paddy. Very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brother, grandchildren Caleb, Luke, Michael, Ariana, James, Oisín, Ethan, Aonghus and Rua, daughters-in-law Anna and Nicole, sons-in-law Chris and Steve, sisters-in-law Nora and Trish, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Macken's Funeral Home, Distillery Road, Wexford, Y35 HP29 on Thursday, 13th February from 4.00 pm until 7.00 pm. Removal shall take place on Friday morning, 14th February, to The Church of the Annunciation, Clonard for Funeral Mass at 10.00 am followed by Cremation Service at Macken's Funeral Home at 11.30 am. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to Wexford St. Vincent De Paul.

Josephine (Josie) Hayes
(née Foxe)

Josephine (Josie) Hayes (nee Foxe) (Doorish, Rossmore, Co. Tipperary & late of Aughacrew, Annacarty) February 10th 2025, in her 104th year. Wife of the late Jimmy Hayes, Hayes Machinery, Ballagh, Clonoulty, mother of the late Thomas and sister of the late Chrissie Buckley and Mary Taylor.

 

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Noel, Seamus, Joe, Brendan and Maura Tynan, daughters-in-law Catherine, Tricia, Helen and Alice, son-in-law Seamus Tynan, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, wonderful neighbours and friends, and also by the staff of the Woodlands Nursing Home, Dundrum who took such wonderful care of her for the last 2 years.

 

Rest in peace.

 

Reposing at Whites Funeral Home, Cappawhite (E34 WR83) Wednesday evening (12th February) from 5 pm until 7.30 pm. Requiem Mass in the Church of Jesus Christ Our Saviour, Rossmore on Thursday morning at 11.30 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John (Blondie) O'Connell

John (Blondie) O’Connell, Clonomocogue, Loughmore, Templemore, Co. Tipperary, 10th of February 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mona and his daughter Sorcha, aunts Nellie and Sadie and brother-in-law Eddie.

 

Deeply regretted by his daughter Aoife, sons Shane and Thomas and their mother Bernie, brothers Jimmy and Thomas, sisters Mary and Ann. He will be sadly missed by his granddaughters Lilly and Sophie, his son-in-law Patrick, sisters-in-law Breda and Kay, brother-in-law Dan and all his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home Templemore (Eircode E41 Tr83) this Friday the 14th of February from 5 pm to 7 pm. Removal on Saturday Morning to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady Loughmore for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am. Interment in the adjoining Cemetery afterwards.

(née Sampson)

Breda passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Seamus. Adored mother of Geraldine, Maria, Gemma and Jean. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, sons in law Tomás, John and Gerard, grandchildren Tim, Jim, Gillian, Helen, Noreen, Marianna and Patrick, her 7 great grandchildren, her brothers Tom (Canada) Frank, Billy, Seán and Paddy (deceased), her sister Eileen, sisters in law Brigid and Peg, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Eileen passed away unexpectedly at Tipperary University Hospital. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband Brian, her children Marie, Ann, Joanne and Michael, brother Billy, grandchildren, sons in law, daughter in law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Marie's (English) home (E91W2Y5) on Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday at 11am in St. Nicholas' Church, Grange with burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Grange.
