Mary B Maher

Mary B. Maher, (nee Kenny), "The Grove", Glencrue, Portroe, died unexpectedly, on February 13th 2025, at University Hospital Limerick.

Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Kenny and her nephew John. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken husband and best friend Jimmy, her loving children James, Laura and Stephen, her adored grandchildren Saoirse, Caleb and Jake, sister Noreen and her husband Pauric, son-in-law J.P. McGrath, daughter-in-law Michelle, niece, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Sunday February 16th at her home (E45 X371), from 3pm until 5pm. Funeral arriving on Monday to St. Mary's Church, Portroe for Funeral Mass at 11.30am followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm. William (Bill) Carey

The death has occurred of William (Bill) Carey, Western Road, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

Bill, in his 93rd year, passed away peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital on Thursday morning in the presence of his loving family. He is pre-deceased by his brother Tom and sisters Marian (Kennedy) & Lena (Carey). Beloved husband and father he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters AnneMarie (Tobin), Corina (Carey), sons Liam and Brian, brother Ger, grandchildren Kieran, Sinéad, Katie, Charlie, Brandon and Aeryn, sons-in-law James and Shane, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Saturday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Sunday to St Mary’s Church, Irishtown. Funeral Mass on arrival at 12.00pm. Those who cannot attend can watch live via the St Mary’s Parish livestream service https://www.churchservices.tv/clonmel. Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to South Tipperary Hospice Movement.

Mary Egan

The death has occurred of Mary Egan (nee Ryan Pake) 9 Main Street, Killaloe, Co. Clare, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Milbrae Nursing Home, Newport, Co. Tipperary. Predeceased by her husband Matthew, twin sister Teresa, Eileen and son in law John Paul Scarzella. Sadly missed by her loving family Mairead, Peter, Padraig, Matthew (Matsie), Siobhan, Perpetua, sister Kathleen, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons in law John Kennedy, Greg Kopp, daughters in law Margaret, Marguerite and Alice, sister in law Anne Egan.

Reposing in Lynch's Funeral Home Killaloe on Sunday the 16th of February at 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday the 17th of February at 11am in St. Flannan's Church, Killaloe, with burial afterwards in Reilig Lua Killaloe (Link for live stream to follow). Family flowers only. Donations, if desired to Newport Day Care Centre.

Denis Fitzgerald

Denis Fitzgerald, Copper Beech View, and formerly of 7 Ashbury, Roscrea, Co Tipperary.

Died 12th February 2025, Peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff of Dean Maxwell Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his parents, Tommy and Norah, brothers Pat, Chris, Jimmy, and Peter, sisters Martina and Eileen.

Much loved father of Thomas and Sabrina, Denis will be sadly missed by his daughter in law Orla, son in law Leigh, adored grandchildren Vivienne, Dillon, Ryan, Lynn, and great grandchild Taidgh, brothers Thomas and Danny, sisters Breda and Geraldine, his aunts Bridie and Mag, close family friend Mrs Quirke, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Doyle's Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 RX08) on Friday 14th February from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal from Doyle's Funeral Home on Saturday at 1.30pm to arrive at St Cronan's Church Roscrea for funeral mass at 2pm.

Burial afterwards in adjoining old cemetery.

Geoffrey Pemberton

The death has occurred of Geoffrey Pemberton, Auburn Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.Geoff passed away at Tipperary University Hospital on Tuesday evening 11th February 2025 following a short illness. A beloved father, he will be sadly missed and remembered by his son James, daughter Lisa, daughter-in-law Debbie, grandson Gareth and wife Sara, great-grandchildren Reece, Meghan, Dylan and Killian, brothers Charlie and John, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

There will be a private cremation for immediate family. The funeral service details will be released shortly.

No flowers please, but donations may be made either to Family Carers Ireland Family Carers Ireland or to JW Worldwide Work Donate to Jehovah’s Witnesses | English (jw.org)
