RIP: Tipperary deaths and funeral details, April 10

Kathleen Watters
(née McGrath)

WATTERS (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, late of Dundalk, Co. Louth and Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary) April 9th, 2025, peacefully at Ashford Nursing Home, Dun Laoghaire with her family. Kathleen, beloved wife of Frank for 65 years, loving mother of Rosemary, Tom, Catherine, Niamh and the late baby Nuala. Sadly missed by her son, daughters, son-in-law Jim, daughter-in-law Pam, her grandchildren Bevin, Andrew, Christine, Cian, Cass, Conor, Lizzie, Genevieve and James, great-grandchildren Analicia, Daphne, Hugito and Piper, her brother Seamus, her sisters Eileen and Maureen, her brother in-law Mickey, her sister-in-law Margaret and extended family and friends. Remembering also her late siblings Alice and Peadar.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis

Reposing at home on Friday, 11th April from 5-7pm for family and friends. Kathleen's funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 12th, (Kathleen and Frank’s wedding anniversary) at 10am, in St Joseph’s Church, Glasthule followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Garden Chapel. We thank God for Kathleen’s long and wonderful life.

No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Seamus (James) Byrne

The death has occurred of Seamus (James) Byrne, Ballylooby, Cahir, Co, Tipperary on April 9th 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Tipperary University Hospital Clonmel. Seamus beloved husband of the late Anita (née Maguire).Pre-deceased by his brothers Liam, Tom, PJ and Sean. Deeply regretted by his loving children Sinead, Fiona and Dervla, his brother Michael, adored grandfather to Doireann, Shauna, Laoise, Georgia and David, sons-in-law Kevin and John, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

 

Rest in Peace

 

Reposing at St Theresa's Hospital, Clogheen (E21 Y447) on Thursday from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 o' clock in St. Kieran's Church, Ballylooby (E21 KR67) and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Donations if desired, to the Irish Heart Foundation in lieu of flowers.
