Formerly of Cobh, Co. Cork

 

Unexpectedly but peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Geraldine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Alicia, great grandson Kayden, nephew Danny, niece Regina and her husband Jason, Ger’s second “granddaughter” Zara, relatives, extended family and friends.

Reunited at last with her daughter Alison, sisters Denise and Mary, grandson Daniel, brother Tom and her parents.

Geraldine will repose at her home Amber Lee, Hill View, Old Rd, Cashel, Co. Tipperary E25HC52 on Thursday July 10th from 4pm to 6pm. Arriving at Bothar Na Naomh Church, Thurles on Friday July 11th at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass followed by a 2pm cremation service at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

Eileen Hanly
(née Hutch)

The death has occurred of Eileen Hanly (Nee Hutch) Ballyartella, Ballycommon, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on July 6th 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, sisters Mary (Hughes) & Connie (Leahy). Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Sarah, step family John, Pat, Elizabeth and Brian, sons in law Hassan Kamal and Basil Corballis, daughters in law Noreen (Walsh) Jo-Ann (Johnson) and Janet (Hanly), grandchildren Sheila, Jenny, Mark, Aidan, Lizzie, Kate, Ciara, John, Robert, Suzie and five great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Keller's Funeral Home (E45XO94) on Wednesday evening (July 9th) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving to St Mary's Church, Carrig, Ballycommon on Thursday morning arriving at 10:45 am for funeral mass at 11am. Followed by burial in Monsea Cemetery. The family would like to thank the carers and the medical team who looked after Eileen so well. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Milford Care Centre. House private please. Liam Phelan

Phelan, Liam (Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Artane and Malahide, Co. Dublin) – July 4th 2025, died peacefully in the exceptional care of Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Beloved husband of Kay, cherished father of Sinéad and John, adored grandfather of Sophie and Louis, Father-in-Law to Triona, and Great-grandfather to baby Kurt.

 

Liam will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, dear friends, neighbours, and all who knew him.

A man of real integrity, strength, sharp wit, and unwavering decency, Liam lived with honesty and heart.

His legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well lived.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Thursday afternoon 10th July from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of St Sylvester, Malahide arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

Sean Shanahan

Sean Shanahan, Ballinlonty, Drom. July 6th, 2025, peacefully, in the loving care of his family at home.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Bridie, his sister Breda, his brothers Michael, Dan and Pat.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Anna, sons, John and P.J. daughter Kate McElgunn, grandchildren, son-in-law David, daughters-in-law, Trish and Sandra. Brothers, Jim and Ned, sister, Anna Corcoran, brothers-in-law, Bill Corcoran and James Stapleton, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, former work colleagues at Erin Foods, and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Kennedy's Funeral Home Borrisoleigh (E41 VX81) on Tuesday evening from 4pm. with Removal at 7pm. to St. Mary's Church, Drom. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11:30am. followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Tobin

On July 6th, Patrick passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary and his sisters Honora and Siobhan. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret and daughters Aisling, Katie, Sinéad , Maeve and Grandson Ollie. Dear brother of David, Mary, Seamus, John, Maurice and Margaret. Sadly missed by his aunt Joan Lonergan, sisters in-law, brothers in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Costigan's Funeral Home, Cahir on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving to St Kieran's Church, Ballylooby on Thursday morning for mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
