Temperatures are set to plummet in Tipperary this weekend, with a chance of ice and wintry showers hitting the Premier and the rest of the country.
Met Éireann has said weather warnings are likely to be issued, mainly for wind and rain.
Temperatures are set to drop to –2C in some parts of the country tomorrow night, including Tipperary, leading to wintry falls on higher ground, with frost and icy stretches are also expected to develop.
Sunday is expected to bring spells of sunshine, but there will also be falls of sleet at times and temperatures could drop to as low as -4C.
Further low temperatures are also forecast on Monday night into Tuesday morning, with pockets of freezing fog in some areas and lows of -3 or -4C.
Average temperatures over the next week are forecast to be slightly below normal for January.
It comes as a Status Yellow wind warning for Ireland and a Status Yellow rain warning for Leitrim and Donegal both ended overnight.
