First-year students making St Brigid Day crosses; James Ryan Darragh Meehan, Cillian Holmes
On February 1, students and staff in St Marys celebrated St Brigid's Day and Ceiliúradh CEIST. Ms Thornton (religion teacher) and Ely White-Linnane (third-year) began our celebrations with a morning prayer The Calling over the school intercom and shared how our school community can take part in showing the theme of the day, One Good Deed.
Our first-year students made St Brigid Crosses in their religion classes. Also, students and staff throughout our school designed jigsaw pieces to represent themselves and placed them around our Ceiliúradh CEIST sign displayed on our main corridor. This was to portray our CEIST value of Creating Community.
