Nenagh councillor calls for support for community alert groups

Nenagh councillor Ger Darcy has asked the Tipperary Joint Policing Committee to engage with local community alert groups.

At last week’s sitting of the Tipperary JPC, the councillor said the groups needed a little support to “reactivate.”

He said before the pandemic the groups were active and working well. But now their signs need upgrading, and they may need some support to get started again.

He emphasised the importance of these groups to the areas they work in.
