Tipperary man Ben Healy is in the running to make his Scotland debut this Saturday in the final round of the Six Nations against Italy.
The former Nenagh Ormond and Munster fly half switched allegiance to the Scots recently and is qualified to play by virtue of grandparents and could come into the team after star player Finn Russell suffered a knee injury in the loss to Ireland last Sunday.
Healy will be fighting it out with Blair Kinghorn for the starting spot at number 10, but he is likely to at least be on the bench for the game in Murrayfield.
The Kilruane native will leave Munster at the end of the season as he moves to Edinburgh to further his international career chances and it could be a big week for the Healy family as a whole with his brother John lining out for Nenagh Ormond in the Munster Challenge Cup Final for Nenagh Ormond in Thomond Park on Thursday.
