Tipperary has had an increase in the number of burglaries in homes in 2022 according to figures released recently by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
According to the latest CSO statistics on burglary, there was an 6% increase in burglaries in Tipperary during 2022 in comparison to 2021.
Nationwide, there has bee a 10% increase overall and this is the first annual increase in the rate of burglaries for five years.
The new statistics released by the CSO reveals that there were nearly 9,500 burglaries nationwide throughout 2022.
