Tipperary school display skill and talent at the North Munster athletics competition

Tuesday the May 9, our athletics team had great success in Castleisland.

We had first placing for Josh Devlin junior Long jump and Clodagh Donoghoe inter high jump.

Silver medals for Rubi Walker & Callum Hier in Javelin, Isabelle Hayde in High Jump, Sophie Walker in Triple jump, Ava Palmer in 300m and Cormac Ryan senior 1500m. Bronze medals for Conor Kiely Javelin, Athol Harvey 100m, Fionn Griffin Shot Putt, Leah Berry 800m and Clodagh Donoghoe Triple Jump.

On May 11, we were back to Castleisland for day two of the North Munster athletics with the relays and sprints with great performances from all athletes.

Results are as follows; Gold, Leah Berry 200m, and Junior boys 4x100 stormed home in a very impressive victory. Josh Devlin, Darragh McNamara, Scott Ryan, and Athlone Harvey.

Silver, Intermediate girls 4 x100 chased the leading team to nearly get them on the line. Another impressive performance by Clodagh Donohoe, Ava Palmer, Leah Berry and Sophie Walker.

Bronze, Sophie Walker 200m and Scott Ryan 200m.

A very close call for the intermediate boys relay in fourth position, Killian o Hora, Kenneth Blower, Fionn Griffin and Dillon Walsh.
