Nenagh Library hosts author and playwright Jean Farrell as part of Bealtaine festival

Bealtaine continues in Nenagh library on Tuesday, May 23, at 6.30pm with Memoirs and Melodies by Jean Farrell.

Hugely popular with readers of her weekly column in the Westmeath Independent, who can identify with her humorous and interesting view of life, we are delighted to welcome Jean back to Nenagh.

Fans of Jean will remember her hilarious one-woman play, The Six Mary’s’ a comical, yet poignant, look at Irish life from 1950s to the present day, performed as part of our Bealtaine Festival in 2018.

So join Jean, accompanied in song by her sister, on this trip down memory lane, prompted by some of her most popular articles as she looks back over the many changes which have taken place in Ireland since she was a child in the 1950s.
