ALERT: Tipperary gardaí renew phishing warning after woman loses money to scammers

Phishing continues to raise its head in the Nenagh Garda District, according to Sgt Declan O’Carroll of Nenagh Garda Station.

He warned people to exercise vigilance when using their bank cards and when shopping online.

Sgt O'Carroll revealed that a woman in Newport had substantial funds stolen from her bank account when she shopped on a website that subsequently proved to be operated by criminals.
