IT COULD BE YOU: Mystery surrounds identity of Nenagh holder of winning Lotto ticket
Mystery still surrounds the identity of the Tipperary winner of the Match 5 + bonus number in last Saturday's Lotto draw.
The winning €22,601 ticket was sold in Cleary’s Daybreak Garage on the Limerick Road in Nenagh.
The total prize of over €66,000 was shared between three players from Nenagh, Limerick and Mayo.
“I haven’t a clue who it was,” store owner Edward Cleary told the Tipperary Star. “The first I knew of it was when I got a text from the National Lottery.”
The store would have a huge passing trade and Mr Cleary said that he wished whoever won the prize all the best.
“I wouldn’t mind if it were me,” he joked.
It is the second time that the store has had a big win in the lotto. The lucky store sold a winning €4m ticket in 2011.
winning streak
Tipperary shops have been on a winning streak in the past few months. The Spar shop in Borrisokane sold a €1m winning ticket to a local syndicate in April.
The winning Lotto numbers from Saturday’s draw were: 04, 05, 21, 26, 27, 34 and the bonus was 33.
The National Lottery is urging players across the country to check their tickets carefully and advising the Limerick, Mayo and Tipperary Match 5 + Bonus winners to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800-666222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.
They should sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe.
