Tipperary TD welcomes Community Healthcare Organisations funding of €660,000
The allocation by Minister for State for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy, Hildegarde Naughton, of a total of €660,000 for the two Community Healthcare Organisations (CHOs) covering County Tipperary has been welcomed by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry.
This funding is designed to maintain the existing level of Drugs and Inclusion Health Services provided by Community and Voluntary Organisations.
Deputy Lowry said that this much-needed funding will be put to the best possible use by the relevant organisations
The funding forms part of a nationwide allocation of €3.5m that will be distributed by Community Healthcare Organisations (CHOs) across the country based on guidance issued by the Department of Health.
CHO3 covers Clare, Limerick, North Tipperary/East Limerick, while CHO5 covers South Tipperary, Carlow/Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford.
It is envisaged that the funding will be distributed in Q3 2023.
