Inclusion of Kilkenny in Tipperary North Dáil constituency came as a shock, says local TD
Tipperary TD Jackie Cahill has said that the inclusion of parts of Kilkenny in the redrawn Tipperary North Dáil constituency "certainly came as a shock to many”.
The Boundary Commission released the new boundaries last week, and included areas from north west Kilkenny, including those around Urlingford, Freshford, Johnstown and Tullaroan in Tipperary North.
However, Deputy Cahill welcomed them into the constituency and said that he would like to reassure them that he will work hard to ensure they are well represented in the Dáil.
“I also welcome the decision to include Newport and Birdhill in Tipperary North / Kilkenny North West,” he said.
