Nenagh Macra club pays tribute to its friend and long term member Elizabeth Alice

Tipperary Macra has paid tribute to one of its young members who has apassed away.

Elizabeth Alice Gleeson of Coooon, Carrigatoher, Nenagh, passed away peacefully in Milford Hospice on October 3.

She was predeceased by her beloved mother Rosaleen.

Elizabeth Alice will be sadly missed by her loving father, Christy, her aunts, uncles cousins, relatives, neighbours and her many kind close friends.

Paying tribute to her, Macra Nenagh said on its Facebook page: "Nenagh Macra are devastated to hear of the passing of our long term member and friend Liz Gleeson.

"Liz played an active role in both Nenagh and North Tipperary Macra.

"Liz represented Nenagh and North Tipp in many competitions over the years including sport, drama and Queen of the land.

"Liz was involved in various committees during her time in Macra including the National AGM committee and most recently The Rally Committee 2022.

"She will be sadly missed. The club would like to extend our sincere sympathy to Liz's dad Christy, her extended family and many friends.

"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam."

Elizabeth Alice's Requiem Mass took place in Ballywilliam Church on Saturday, with burial afterwards in Burgess graveyard.
