Tipperary County Council issued 26 fixed penalty litter fines in Nenagh area last year

The total number of visitors to the Nenagh Civic Amenity Site in 2023 was 28,054, Nenagh councillors were informed at the January meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District Council.

A mattress amnesty took place at Nenagh Civic Amenity Site last July in which mattresses only from domestic households were accepted free of charge, up to a maximum of three mattresses per household.

The total number of mattresses collected was 264.

Meanwhile, in 2023 there were 41 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) issued in the Nenagh district, 26 of which were litter fines.

Four notices, pursuant to Section 14 of the Waste Management Act 1996 (as amended) were issued. The four notices were complied with.
