The evening of Saturday 7 September saw huge crowds gather in Mount St Joseph’s Abbey for the Roscrea Lions Club charity walk in Association with Cistercian College.

All proceeds from the charity walk were raised for Childhood Cancer Ireland.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the ‘Light it up Gold’ campaign symbolises the time when we shine a light on what it means to live with and beyond childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer.

Prominent buildings throughout Ireland have also been lit up gold during the month of September as part of the campaign. In Tipperary, The Rock of Cashel will be one building that is lit up in gold for the month.
