Despite a slow start to the year, Burgess came into the championship in their win over St Marys in the final group game, and full back Ryan was solid all year thereafter. He picked up the dangerous inside forward more often than not, and has filled the Shane Maher shaped hole left in the heart of the defence in recent years. Consistent.
