Cloughjordan to deck the halls this weekend with Christmas market and lights ceremony

Cloughjordan Christmas Market will take place in Saint Kieran's Hall on this Saturday, December 3, from 12 noon to 6pm.

Items on sale will include Christmas Gifts, Local Crafts and Festive Baking and Food.

The local ladies choir, the award-winning Mellow Tones, will sing some Christmas favourites at 4pm. The Cloughjordan Christmas

Lights will be turned on at 5pm by members of the Kilruane MacDonagh's senior team. Kevin MacDonald will also be performing, and Santa will take some time off from his busy schedule visit the Market.

In conjunction with the Christmas Market, the Cloughjordan Community Development Association is holding a Dream Auction for 26 items, all of which have been donated by local businesses and residents.

Items that can be bid on include a week's holiday in Kilkee, a Rolly Tractor worth €185, a jersey signed by the Kilruane MacDonagh's senior hurlers, a car or jeep valet, a visit to the Rós na Rún studio in Spiddal to meet the actors and have a part as an extra in one of the episodes of the popular TG4 soap opera.
