Noel McGrath will captain the Tipperary senior hurlers in 2023.
The fixtures for the 2023 Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues have been confirmed by Croke Park GAA officials.
Action will be quickly into view come the new year, with the Tipperary footballers in Division 3 with seven league games to be played, while the hurlers will face five group games.
The hurlers will face an identical run of fixtures to last year's league campaign, with the groups continuing in the same pairing from last year, with the difference being the home and away fixtures reversing from last year which will see Tipperary host Laois in Thurles in the opener on February 4th.
Liam Cahill's only other home game in the group matches will be against his former charges Waterford on March 11th in an Saturday night under lights fixture, while the away games will see Tipp travelling to Nowlan Park, Croke Park, and Corrigan Park in Antrim in the final game.
That final group game could be Tipp's final competitive game (should they fail to make the league semi-finals) before the Munster championship commences with an away trip to Cusack Park in Ennis to face Clare on April 23rd in the Munster championship opener.
Ahead of the Allianz League, the Tipperary hurlers will play in the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League with two games in early January - fixtures to be confirmed next Monday.
Meanwhile, the footballers face a tough opening round fixture in their Division 2 league opener on January 28 when they welcome Down to FBD Semple Stadium, with that match one of three home games in the group campaign; the other coming against Antrim and Offaly.
There are a number of very daunting and tough looking away trips for David Power's charges, with Cavan, Fermanagh, Longford, and Westmeath all requiring Tipp to make long journeys to compete.
The group phase of the football league concludes for Tipperary on March 26th away to Westmeath, and Tipp won't be in championship action until April 9th where they face Waterford in the Munster SFC quarter-final.
Before the Allianz League begins on the last weekend of January, the footballers will play in the McGrath Cup, where Tipp are at home to Waterford on Monday January 9th and then at home against Limerick on Saturday January 14th.
