Today is the big opening day for Nenagh's Black Santa Appeal 2022
The Black Santa Appeal kicked off in Nenagh today.
The three-day event is an annual inter-faith fundraising collaboration led by the St Mary's Church of Ireland in Nenagh.
This year, all funds will go to the Nenagh St Vincent de Paul.
Rev Paul Fitzpatrick said the people of Nenagh have already been so generous today.
The group will be outside the old Dunnes Stores building on Pearse Street until 5pm today.
Tomorrow they will be back between 2pm and 5pm, and the same time Friday.
Throughout the three days, volunteers will be supported by local musical acts, including the Nenagh Ormond Brass band, who will play from 4:30pm on Friday.
