Daryl McCormack with his mother, Theresa, and Nenagh tourism officer Victoria Lee Picture: Odhran Ducie
BAFTA-nominated actor Daryl McCormack paid a visit to Nenagh Tourist Office over the festive season accompanied by his mother Theresa McCormack and his grandmother Maura O’Gorman.
On the day Daryl, who hails from the town, was presented with a Nenagh 800 medal in recognition of his achievements to date.
He also posed for a portrait picture by photographer Odhran Ducie, and he will join the many illustrious Nenagh people who have made their name in their particular field and whose pictures adorn the walls of Nenagh Tourist Office.
The actor, whose roles have included parts in Fair City, Peaky Blinders, Bad Sisters and Good Luck to you, Leo Grande starring opposite Emma Thompson, has been nominated for a Rising Star BAFTA award in this year’s competition.
This is the only category which is voted for by the public.
The winner will be announced at the awards on February 19.
