A Tipperary doctor has been lined up to address a major conference on the menopause.

Dr Brian Kennedy, whose practice is in Tyone, Nenagh, founder of HRT Prescribers, will speak at the inaugural National Menopause Summit in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin City on Thursday, March 23.

Dr Kennedy founded HRT Prescribers in June 2021, aided by two of the summit’s other speakers Dr Deirdre Lundy and Dr Caoimhe Hartley.

The HRT Prescribers group is run on a pro-bono basis and provides medical professionals peer support regarding HRT considerations in relation to patient age, menstrual cycle, and underlying medical conditions, among other issues.

The conference will feature, among others, broadcaster Davina McCall, one of the UK's most loved TV broadcasters, with hit series that include Long Lost Family, The Masked Singer, The Masked Dancer and the ground breaking documentaries Sex, Myths and the Menopause and Sex, Mind and the Menopause.

The summit will be moderated by journalist and broadcaster Gráinne Seoige.
