Lots of debate has been had around the full back come championship time but Maher seems to be staking the biggest claim, putting in another top display on Saturday.
He had a terrific first half and was on so much possession and distributing well while keeping Aaron Gillane quiet from play. He seemed to tire as the game went on but with the battle being lost out the field, and fresh legs in on top of him, this was understandable.
