The Nenagh mural dedicated to the late Shane MacGowan was officially unveiled in the North Tipperary town in front of a fine crowd on Sunday afternoon last.
The mural - created by Tipperary Town’s Neil O’Dywer - was officially launched in the ceremony at Emmet Place at 2 pm.
Shane’s wife, Victoria, and his sister, Siobhan were in attendance along with musician Sharon Shannon who performed music in the late Tipperary music legend's memory.
Emmet Place - where the mural is located in the town - was closed to traffic until 10 pm last night with large crowds turning out across the day.
Several speeches were also given on Shane's impact on Irish music, and the people of Nenagh in the early morning, and they can be watched below.
