Tipperary Gardaí seize two cars in a small town after separate offences were discovered

Nenagh Gardaí seized two cars in their district on Tuesday

Nenagh District Gardaí carried out a successful patrol in Scarriff earlier today, resulting in the seizure of two vehicles for separate infractions.

The first vehicle, a Mini Cooper, was seized after Gardaí discovered it was being driven without valid insurance. Driving without insurance is a serious offense under Irish law, posing significant risks to road safety and financial liability in the event of an accident.

The second vehicle, a Ford, was confiscated under the Clancy Amendment. This law, designed to enhance road safety, prohibits learner drivers from driving unaccompanied.

In this instance, the learner driver was not only unaccompanied but also had multiple children on board, raising concerns about the safety of all passengers.

Both cases are set to proceed to court. The Gardaí emphasized the importance of complying with road traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users.
