Cistercian College, Roscrea's U17 hurlers travelled to Abbey CBS for the Tipp schools semi final on Wednesday where the Tipperary Town school just about edged out their Tipperary counterparts in the U17B County Schools semi-final.
What transpired was a performance that the management of Tommy Dunne, Mt Fogarty, Donie Franks and Joey Murphy were extremely proud of.
The more experienced CCR back line and midfield met the challenge of a good Abbey forward line head on and at the end of full time held them to 0-11.

Up front, the younger forwards worked tirelessly to try and get the score to get the team over the line.
The game finished level at the end of full time at 0-11 each. Extra time saw the lead change hands several times before a late goal and point saw Abbey home. Best of luck to Abbey in the final.
An incredible performance in the circumstances.
The management are very proud of the players for their efforts today and look forward to building a strong senior side next year.
