The Newport AC sprinter, an Olympic finalist, brings vital experience as Ireland aims for a strong showing on the European stage.

Mawdsley joins a squad featuring several Olympians, including Sarah Lavin (60mH), Andrew Coscoran (1500m), and Mark English (800m).

Both the women’s and mixed 4x400m relay teams will look to her leadership as they target another major championship final.

With a standout season so far, Mawdsley will be eager to make her mark in Apeldoorn as she continues to cement her place among Europe’s top 400m athletes.
