RIP: Uncle of current Tipp hurler to be laid to rest after sudden passing earlier this week

Willie Connors of Ballyartella, Ballycommon, Nenagh - uncle of Tipperary senior hurler Willie Connors sadly passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday last.

His passing comes just days before the Premier County's All-Ireland Hurling semi-final clash with Kilkenny, adding a deeply personal layer to the occasion for his nephew and the wider Connors family and the community around Kiladangan GAA.

Willie was predeceased by his parents Tom and Annie, brothers Bernard, John and Michael, sisters Kathleen and Ann, and his brother-in-law Patrick Seymour. He is mourned by his sister and brothers, Breda, Paddy, Tommy, Ollie, Tony, and his twin Ger, extended family, neighbours, and many friends.

Reposing takes place today (Friday), July 4, at Ryan's Funeral Home, Nenagh, from 5pm to 7pm, with removal to St. Mary’s Church, Carrig. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in Monsea Cemetery.
