The owner discovered the damage on Wednesday morning and took to social media to appeal for information, saying the vehicle had been parked there the previous night.

“If anyone saw or heard anything we’d love to hear from ye,” the post read. “Just want to share so people are aware this kind of thing is going on in Nenagh.”

Locals have expressed shock and frustration at the incident, which is the latest in a number of reports of vandalism and antisocial behaviour in the town.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Nenagh Garda Station.
