Templemore residents asked to provide accommodation for Garda trainees

The Garda Training College in Templemore is appealing to local residents to help house trainee officers by offering spare rooms.

This request follows the start of training for 225 new recruits this week, part of ongoing initiatives to boost the number of Gardaí in training.

Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly expressed confidence that adequate accommodation could be found within the area to support the increased intake of students.

Those wishing to offer a room are asked to email the college at college.externalaccommodation@garda.ie. The closing date for submissions is Friday, 12 December, at 5pm.
