Plans to open up a new café in a Tipperary museum have been submitted to Tipperary County Council for consideration.
The plans relate to Damer House on Castle Street in Roscrea, a large building built around 1728 which now opens to the public as a heritage centre.
Plans submitted for the eighteenth-century building include: change of use from a visitor centre/museum to a café in the ground floor of the annex building.

The Office of Public Works, who filed this planning application, also wish to reopen a window and two internal doors that were once in use in the building.
Damer House is a Protected Structure and is recorded on the Tipperary County Council record of protected structures (RPS No. TRPS924).
Tipperary County Council is scheduled to make a decision on the proposal by January 17 2026.
