Over 400 farmers gathered in Over 400 farmers gathered in Tipperary this week for the Teagasc's annual National Dairy Conference.
The Teagasc National Dairy Conference 2025 took place on Wednesday 26 November in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.
The theme of this year’s conference was Pathways to Progress. This year has been positive for dairy farming, with strong prices for milk and livestock, and of course good weather and grass growth for the most part.
However, the last couple of months have seen a significant downturn in milk prices which will impact dairy farms through the winter and into next spring. This sharpens the focus on the need for good technical performance and cost control.

Farmers who attended heard about the economic challenges facing the dairy industry, along with updates on new technologies that will cut costs and deliver more sustainable farming practices.
