Premier Excel Ltd, a company based in Callan, is seeking approval to build a 15 unit scheme on the Carrick Road. The proposed site is known locally as the Forge Meadow and sits on the edge of the village.
According to the application, the development would consist of a blend of housing types intended to broaden local supply. Five of the units would be four bedroom houses, six would be three bedroom houses and a further four would be two bedroom apartments.
The company’s submission sets out the basic layout of the scheme and begins the statutory process during which the local authority will examine issues such as design, access and the suitability of the site for residential use.
Members of the public may also make observations while the application is under review.
Tipperary County Council has indicated that a decision on the plans is due by January 24th.
