The repairs, completed this month, aim to provide a safer environment for residents and pedestrians after the footpaths had become potentially hazardous.

Councillor Declan Burgess, who raised the issue with the council, welcomed the swift response. In a statement, he thanked Tipperary County Council for acting on his representations and praised the contractors and the District office for their work. He also expressed gratitude to local residents who first highlighted the problem.

The improvements have been well received by the community. One resident remarked that the repairs reduce the risk of falls and make the area appear much cleaner. Another noted that the workmen were helpful in assisting a resident with her bins and navigating her car.

Councillor Burgess reiterated his availability to assist constituents with local issues, providing a WhatsApp contact for anyone seeking support. He said he remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of those in his constituency.
