After days of buzz and eager anticipation, the tractor run finally rolled through the centre of Nenagh on 14 December, with rain staying away for the most part, much to the relief of organisers and spectators alike.
From early evening, thousands lined the main streets to witness an extraordinary display of tractor creativity and community spirit. Among the highlights was a Grinch-themed tractor that delighted families, another tractor pulling a trailer filled with carol singers serenading the crowds with festive favourite as well as a huge Christmas cracker trailer filled with kids made its way down the route, adding colour and laughs to the procession.
The annual event has grown in reputation and scale since it began, becoming one of Tipperary’s standout festive attractions. Tractors of all sizes were adorned with lights and seasonal decorations, spreading Christmas magic as they moved from Liffey Mills down through Pearse Street and along Kenyon Street.
For many locals and visitors alike, the tractor run now marks the unofficial start of Christmas in Nenagh. Crowds came bundled in warm coats to take in the spectacle, share in the atmosphere and support what has become a much-loved holiday tradition.
