A student in Tipperary is asking for teenagers in the country to take part in a survey about autism misinformation.

Cara Darmody (14), who goes to Presentation Secondary School in Clonmel, announced the news this week that her project has made it into the Stripe Young Scientist Competition in the RDS.

Describing her project, Cara said "My project is to establish the level of misinformation & fake news that exists about certain things in the autism world, and then to make a firm recommendation to Government to tackle that."

Cara is calling for teenagers to take part in her second survey she has posted online, to help inform her project more.

"The whole thing can be done in just under 10 minutes!! It'll be open until midnight tomorrow night (Thursday December 18) and is 100% anonymous," Cara explained.

Those who wish to take part must first watch instructions on Cara's video which can be found here.
