Tipperary Gardaí probe surge in car thefts and burglaries across the county in recent weeks

Tipperary Gardaí are examining a series of vehicle-related thefts reported across the district in recent days.

In the Ballina–Killaloe area, eight incidents involving valuables stolen from cars were recorded over the past week, along with three similar reports in Roscrea. During the same period, six vehicles were taken in Killaloe. None of the stolen cars are believed to have been recovered.

Separately, several burglaries have been reported in the district this month. These include a break-in at a commercial premises in Killaloe on December 2, as well as a house burglary in Lelagh, Rathcabbin, on December 6.

Another residential property in Curraheen, Toomevara, was targeted the following day.

Investigations are also ongoing into thefts in the Moneygall area, where sheds and vehicles were broken into during the early hours of December 6. Tools are understood to be among the items taken.
