Tipperary Education and Training Board and Mary Immaculate College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to recognise existing cooperation between the two institutions and cement plans for further collaboration across the education sector.
The MoU, which will be in place for five years, recognises the common purpose of both Tipperary ETB and MIC as key providers of education and training in Tipperary and underlines a commitment to working together to facilitate key projects to enable student pathways and professional learning, where a shared sense of common purpose exists.

Chief Executive of Tipperary ETB, Ms Clodagh Kelly, describes the MoU which “establishes a framework for collaboration that is both ambitious and essential. Together, Tipperary ETB and Mary Immaculate College are articulating and advancing a distinctive and integrated continuum of educational opportunity—one that spans early childhood through primary and post-primary education, into initial teacher education, and extending to tertiary and lifelong learning”.
According to Professor Dermot Nestor, President of MIC: “This MoU reflects a shared ambition between MIC and Tipperary ETB to create a more connected educational pathway for learners. It reinforces our commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and the communities we serve in Tipperary and beyond.”
