The President of Clonmel Golf Club, Pat Quinlan, recently presented awards to John Fennessy and John Kennedy.
John Fennessy of Clonmel Golf Club was recently recognised for 25 years of outstanding service to golf in Ireland.
A long-time member of Clonmel since 1974, John has played a major role in promoting golf with extensive involvement with the Munster Branch.
He has captained and managed numerous successful Munster interprovincial teams, including the Munster Under 16 side to victory in 2016.
John continues to serve Golf Ireland through his work on course rating and championship committees.

The club also warmly welcomed John’s daughters, Kay, Mairead and Elaine and granddaughter Isabel and fondly remembered his late wife, Nellie.

The Club Person of the Year award was awarded to John Kennedy for his outstanding work as Course Chairman on the course and around the clubhouse. His dedication and commitment to the club knows no bounds and everyone at the club is deeply grateful for all that he does.
