The couple celebrated their wedding at the Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa and Golf Resort in Carlow following a ceremony attended by family and friends in their local church.

The pair have been together for several years, having met while they were students in Limerick.

The wedding comes only weeks after John McGrath was named Hurler of the Year at the 2025 GAA All-Star Awards, capping off a standout season for the Tipperary man.

John McGrath proposed in 2024 at a location just outside Limerick, a place that holds particular significance for the couple as it was the setting for one of their first dates.

Following the ceremony, guests travelled to Carlow where the newlyweds marked the occasion at the four-star resort, bringing a celebratory close to a memorable year in John McGrath’s personal and sporting life.
