Tributes have been offered following the death of well-known Tipperary agri-supply and hardware merchant PP O’Dwyer.
PP (Peter Paul) O’Dwyer, from Annacarty, Co. Tipperary, formerly of Knockgorman, Donohill, and proprietor of PP O’Dwyer’s Hardware in Dundrum, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 27.

Members of the local community have spoken warmly of the late PP, describing him as "a true legend who will be fondly remembered by all".
His local GAA club, Éire Óg Annacarty Donohill, also paid tribute, saying, "The club has lost another stalwart and great supporter with the passing of P.P."
Others in the area referred to him as "a pillar of the local community".
After previously working in a co-op store, PP went on to establish his own business in the late 1970s, initially supplying silage covers to farmers in the local area. From those beginnings, he steadily expanded the enterprise into a well-regarded agri-supply and hardware business.
PP O’Dwyer’s remains will repose at Whites Funeral Home in Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary, on Tuesday evening, December 30. He will then be received into St. Brigid’s Church, Annacarty, Co. Tipperary, on Wednesday, December 31, for Requiem Mass.
