Art group busy completing mural projects for library in Tipperary

The STAG work team has been busy creating murals and mosaics for the children's section of Clonmel Library

Adult South Tipperary Art Group (STAG) is closed for the Christmas holidays.

Three of the STAG work team have been very busy completing mural projects for the children’s section of Clonmel Library over the last few weeks.

Paintings by members of STAG adults are always available to purchase by contacting the Organiser Maureen Purcell at 086- 8096823. Much more of the adults’ artwork can be viewed in The Showgrounds Shopping Centre, in Befanis Restaurant and in the Leisure Centre, Hotel Minella, all in Clonmel, as well as many more that are in storage.

Congrats to Dylon, Noreen and Ross, Anthony and Miriam who sold artworks over the last four weeks, and to Liuda, who sold one of her ‘Hen’ paintings on Saturday from The Showgrounds.

In Junior STAG, all the seniors (First Year to Leaving Cert) recently completed their epoxy resin coasters with Nataliia Verhovna and papier mache animals with Annamarie Cunningham and the results are amazing.

Very many thanks are extended to the Tipperary Arts Office, to whom the group is most grateful for their support, under the Arts Act Grant Scheme, and without whose financial backing these courses could not have taken place.

Junior STAG (nine years to Leaving Certs) is also now on Christmas holidays until mid January.

A very Healthy and Productive New Year is wished to the group’s 53 adult artists and to the 45 Junior STAG members.

Please check out the group’s web page and Facebook page.
