Planning approval has been secured for a new residential development on Western Road in Clonmel, allowing for a modest expansion of housing stock in the area.

The permission relates to proposals submitted by Greenrise Developments Ltd, which set out plans for the construction of ten houses on the site. The scheme is designed to offer a range of dwelling sizes, with accommodation spread across two two bedroom houses, six three bedroom homes and two four bedroom units.

The development will proceed following the removal of existing structures on the site. This will involve the demolition of a single storey dwelling house, together with a number of associated outbuildings, to make way for the new construction.

Provision has also been made for transport and access needs as part of the approved plans. A total of 20 car parking spaces will be provided to serve the development, alongside short term bicycle parking facilities.

Once completed, the scheme will represent a small but varied residential addition to Western Road, replacing an older property with a higher density housing layout in line with current planning approvals.
