Nenagh Arts Centre
An inspiring journey into the depths of the human psyche comes to Nenagh Arts Centre on Thursday 15 January with ‘Becoming Conscious: Living Your Best Life – The Psychology of Carl Jung and Eckhart Tolle’, a compelling lecture by psychotherapist Brendan Harding.
Harding, a retired general surgeon and practising Jungian psychotherapist, will guide audiences through the teachings of Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, alongside the spiritual insights of contemporary mystic Eckhart Tolle and the wisdom found in Christian and other spiritual traditions.
The evening, suitable for anyone aged 12 and over, promises to be both thought-provoking and transformational, exploring how personal suffering, when truly honoured, can become a path to healing and self-discovery.

Topics to Be Explored
Harding’s talk will focus on several key themes, including:
The Individuation Process: Jung’s idea of psychological development as a lifelong journey toward wholeness and self-realisation.
Unity Across Traditions: How different spiritual paths point towards the same essential truths.
Depression as Invitation: Reframing depression not merely as illness, but as a potential catalyst for growth.
Symbolism in Healing: The role of symbols and inner imagery in self-awareness and recovery.
This discussion arrives at a moment when many are seeking deeper meaning and connection in an increasingly fragmented world, making the exploration of consciousness both timely and relevant.
