RIP: Tributes paid to young Tipperary man who passed away this week

The death has occurred of Joey O'Dwyer Dee of Thurles.

Joey is predeceased by his loving grandparents Sean and Nancy O'Dwyer of Leigh, Two Mile Borris.

He is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Sinéad, father Derek, his cherished sons Kodie (and his mother Leah) and Levi (and his mother Emma), his brothers and sisters Ayla, Dylan, Melissa and Damon, aunts and uncles, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Joey will lay in repose in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Saturday, January 17, from 5pm to 7pm.

He will arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Sunday, January 18, at 10:30am for Requiem Mass at 11am.

His burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles.

Tributes poured in for Joey online, with one person saying: "RIP Joey. You were and still are Kodi's hero. We will make sure he will always remember you. Deepest condolences to your mother father brothers and sisters and son Levi."

Another said: "I was so saddened to hear about Joey. I will always remember him fondly. May he rest in peace. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time."
